The term "mini-puberty" refers to the transient activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal(HPG) axis that occurs after birth. In males, this activity is most prominent at [two to three] months postnatal age and ends at around [six] months. In females, the axis may be active until age [two to four] years... During mini-puberty, concentrations of gonadotropin hormones rise secondary to pulsatile release of hypothalamic gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH). This leads to detectable serum concentrations of sex steroids, comparable to those seen in healthy adults. 2, record 1, English, - mini%2Dpuberty

Most prostate cancer cells depend on hormones to grow. Hormones such as gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) or luteinizing hormone releasing hormone(LHRH) are released from the hypothalamus gland in the brain. When these hormones are released, they promote the testicles to produce the male hormone, testosterone. Androgen Deprivation Therapy(ADT) deprives prostate cancer cells of the male hormones(known as androgens) that cancer cells require in order to grow. ADT is the most common therapy used in men with advanced prostate cancer. 3, record 4, English, - androgen%20deprivation%20therapy

3, record 4, French, - traitement%20antiandrog%C3%A9nique

It has been suspected for some time that a substance secreted in the urine of pregnant women, something called human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG), suppresses Kaposi's sarcoma. Now a group of researchers from the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland reports that another urinary factor, which they call hCG-associated factor(HAF), is in fact responsible for this effect. 1, record 14, English, - hCG%2Dassociated%20factor

2, record 14, French, - facteur%20associ%C3%A9%20%C3%A0%20la%20gonadotrophine%20chorionique%20humaine
