The term "mini-puberty" refers to the transient activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal(HPG) axis that occurs after birth. In males, this activity is most prominent at [two to three] months postnatal age and ends at around [six] months. In females, the axis may be active until age [two to four] years... During mini-puberty, concentrations of gonadotropin hormones rise secondary to pulsatile release of hypothalamic gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH). This leads to detectable serum concentrations of sex steroids, comparable to those seen in healthy adults. 2, record 1, English, - mini%2Dpuberty

The concept of a hormonal male contraceptive is very similar to female hormonal contraceptives, with the administered sex steroid(s) causing suppression of GnRH [gonadotropin-releasing hormone] and LH [luteinizing hormone]/FSH [follicle stimulating hormone] secretion from the hypothalamus and pituitary respectively, and thus gonadal quiescence... 3, record 2, English, - hormonal%20male%20contraceptive

Gonadorelin is a medicine that is the same as gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH) that is naturally released from the hypothalamus gland. How might buserelin acetate treat androgenetic alopecia. Buserelin acetate is the generic name for the commercial brand name Suprefact. It comes in two forms as an intranasal spray : 100 mcg/spray(100 sprays/bottle), or depot for skin(subcutaneous) injection : 1 mg/mL(multidose vial). Buserelin acetate is a synthetic drug that has the equivalent properties of natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH/LHRH) that we all produce in our bodies. [It] promotes follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) release 20 to 170 times greater than observed with LHRH. Long term use of buserelin acetate suppresses production of steroid hormones and gonadotrophin. Consequently, there is a reduction in steroid hormone levels such as testosterone in the blood. 2, record 7, English, - buserelin%20acetate
