Best disease(Best vitelliform macular dystrophy, BVMD) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder due to the mutation of BEST1(or VMD2, TU15B...) gene with incomplete penetrance and variable expression which typically presents in childhood. However, there are also reports of autosomal recessive BVMD. Its characteristic presentation is by bilateral fundus changes of egg-yolk appearance(as in a fried egg with sunny side up) at the macula in both eyes. The retinal pigment epithelium(RPE) is primarily affected.... The visual prognosis of the disease is usually good, usually maintaining driving/reading capability in at least one eye throughout life. 5, record 1, English, - Best%27s%20disease

Canadian Origin Stories-The Birth of Good and Evil. The story of Sky Woman's descent to earth continues with the birth of Sky Woman's daughter. Sky Woman's daughter gives birth to twin sons. Even prior to their birth, these two sons are in conflict. The good twin is born in the natural way, while his evil brother, jealous of his sibling's being born first, pushes himself out his mother's side. The birth of the twins marks the beginning of the battle of good and evil on earth. The brothers grow quickly and begin to fill the world with their creations. One creates all that is good and useful to humans, while the other is destructive, and creates all that is bad. Eventually the good twin defeats his evil brother, and banishes him to a pit under the earth. From this pit the evil twin sends emissaries that continue to bring evil into the world. Joints always constitute weak links in an assembly. Therefore it is good practice to locate them on top of a curb. The curb is built directly on the roof deck and is anchored to it. Along an expansion joint, the curb consists of two separate frames, one on each side of the expansion joint, with a gap for movement in between. On each side of the curb, the roofing membrane is turned up the cant, where it is lapped by a separate base flashing membrane, which extends to the top of the curb. 3, record 3, English, - curb

Silicon Drift Detectors(SDD) are essentially 450 μm-thick discs of high-resistivity silicon which is fully depleted by applying a negative bias voltage to both sides of the disc. On one side of the planar structure the bias is graduated across the device by means of a series of "drift rings" such that a strong transverse electric field component is developed within the structure. This is used to direct electrons produced as a result of x-ray interactions towards a small charge collecting anode. On the opposite side of the device(x-ray entrance side) there is a uniform shallow implanted junction contact to allow good low energy x-ray sensitivity and minimum charge loss. 2, record 4, English, - silicon%20drift%20detector

Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
A constraint is a rule that limits the possible solutions to a problem. To find a solution, we often must sort through many bad solutions before discovering a good one. A good constraint rules out, in one step, most of the very bad attempts at a solution. For example, a good constraint for fixturing a part would be to put the biggest and flattest side up against the jaw of a vise. 3, record 5, English, - constraint
