The cargo has been the subject-matter of a sale and is on its way from the seller to the buyer. While in transit the seller hears that the buyer has become insolvent. If the seller is still unpaid it would be very hard on him if he were bound to deliver the goods to the buyer despite the latter's insolvency. The seller is therefore given what has been described as an equitable remedy. He may order the shipowner or the master of the ship not to deliver the goods to the purchaser, but to redeliver them to him.. The curve followed by a country's balance of payments after its currency has been devalued. Initially, the balance of payments will worsen because of the flow of goods already in inventory and transit and contracts signed before the devaluation occurred. But as importers and exporters adjust to the price impact of the devaluation, the country's balance of payments will turn around and begin to improve. There is nothing automatic about this; there may be other factors that militate against the J-curve to some extent, in addition to the time it takes for firms to adjust. 1, record 20, English, - J%20curve

Some types of goods and services are exempt under the GST. This means that tax is not applied to these sales. However, vendors of exempt products are not entitled to claim input tax credits to recover the GST they paid on their inputs to these products. Examples of tax-exempt goods and services include long-term residential rents, most health and dental care services, day care services, most sales by charities, most domestic financial services, municipal transit and legal aid services. 1, record 25, English, - tax%2Dexempt%20service

1, record 25, French, - service%20exon%C3%A9r%C3%A9
