The National Advisory Committee on Immunization(NACI) is a national advisory committee of experts in the fields of pediatrics, infectious diseases, immunology, pharmacy, nursing, epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, social science and public health. This plan not only provides Public Works and Government Services Canada(PWGSC) with the ability to meet all current health and safety requirements, but offers a proactive approach to health and safety issues in the workplace. This major departmental initiative was introduced by the National Health and Safety Committee. Key to its successful implementation is the active participation of the department's Regional/Area Health and Safety Committees, and Workplace Health and Safety Committees and Representatives. The Strategic Plan's goal is for the achievement of the following six major objectives relating to health and safety by the year 2001 :-PWGSC employees are to be fully aware of their rights, responsibilities and accountabilities with respect to health, safety and environmental protection.-PWGSC worksites are to meet or exceed applicable safety, health and environmental protection standards.-A policy framework is to be developed that will reflect the overall mandate of the federal public service with regard to safety, health and environmental protection, while providing clear departmental direction that is consistent with the aims and objectives of regulatory requirements.-Every workplace is to establish and maintain a Prevention Program.-A Safety Management Information System is to be developed. The Post World War II Era : The Beginning of Regionalization. During the height of the Battle of Britain, a Central Advisory Water Committee was created to address the inadequacy of the capabilities of many small water systems to maintain service, especially in fighting fires resulting from the bombing. The committee initiated the Water Act of 1945, which called on the government to promote the "regrouping" of water supply services. Large water systems were to take over service to smaller communities in their vicinity, and in the absence of a large system, the small systems were to establish regional systems.

Similar to France, Parliament created a central advisory water committee, which recommended a major reorganization of the structure of water management. This led to the Water Act of 1973 which legislated integrated, water management in a catchment basin scheme.
