As of June 1, 2013, all federal government tenders and related documents are available on Buyandsell. gc. ca/tenders, the Government Electronic Tendering Service(GETS). Prior to June 1, 2013, GETS was made available through MERX. On October 27th 1997, the MERX replaced the Open Bidding Service(OBS).

The MERX system was used by the federal government to post tender notices and to provide solicitation documents.
