As announced in the third report, the Ontario Government has launched an initiative to address the issue of sexual assault of women. The Government now provides funding to 30 counselling services for adult women who are survivors of sexual assault and to Sexual Assault Treatment Centres in 27 hospitals and 12 satellite sites across the province. The Saskatchewan Interim Red Meat Production Equalization Program(IRMPEP), administered by the Saskatchewan Department of Agriculture and Food, was established by the Government of Saskatchewan(GOS) in November 1992. IRMPEP provided grants to livestock producers who raised and feeded their livestock in Saskatchewan.
