Aboriginal entrepreneurs need information and resources to improve their access to capital and to establish or develop their businesses. The Aboriginal Business Service Network(ASBN) is being established, using information and Internet technologies, where possible, to provide a range of business products and services. The ASBN builds on the structure of existing Canada Business service centres located across the country which provide free-of-charge access to government information on business programs, services and regulations. These resources are tailored to meet unique requirements of Aboriginal clients.

The CBSCs are the gateway to government information for business. The CBSCs provide a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations and are there to answer questions about starting a new business or improving an existing one. The CBSC initiative is a cooperative arrangement among 36 federal business departments, provincial, territorial governments and, in some cases, the private sector, associations, academic and research communities. Currently, there are thirteen CBSCs-one in every province, the Northwest Territories, the Yukon and the Nunavut, Canada's newest territory.

Les CSEC possèdent une grande diversité de renseignements sur les programmes, services et règlements établis par les gouvernements. Ils ont pour objet de répondre aux questions sur comment démarrer une entreprise ou faire prospérer une entreprise existante. Les CSEC sont le fruit d'accords de collaboration conclus entre 36 ministères fédéraux offrant des services aux entreprises, les gouvernements provinciaux, territoriaux et, dans certains cas, le secteur privé, des associations, le monde de l'enseignement et des instituts de recherche. À l'heure actuelle, il existe treize CSEC, soit un par province, un dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, un au Yukon et un au Nunavut, le nouveau territoire canadien.
