The objectives of the study were(a) to characterize the range of photosynthetic responses in ten species of the Dipterocarpaceae and(b) to elucidate those photosynthetic characteristics that might provide a basis for niche partitioning. Seedlings were acclimatized(about 7 months) in three light environments; understorey, partial shade and a gap(140 m2). The light environments represented a gradation in median diurnal(0630-1830 hours) photon flux density(PFD) ranging from understorey..., through partial shade... to gap... 2, record 8, French, - densit%C3%A9%20de%20flux%20photonique

Unified soil classification system. This system evolved from the airfield classification system after modifications by A. Casagrande of Harvard University and the US Bureau of Reclamation and the Corps of Engineers. It classified soil into three general groups-i. e. coarse-grained, fine-grained and highly organic, with a further fifteen categories depending on gradation of the coarse-particled soils and plasticity of the fine-grained soils. 6, record 13, English, - unified%20soil%20classification%20system

AOS(apparent opening size) is the basic indicator of the pore size of a geotextile. The AOS test involves dry sieving of glass beads and ASTM D 4751 describes the standard methodology. The AOS actually measures the near-largest pore diameter in the geotextile. Using similar terminology as soil gradation, AOS is commonly expressed as O95(based on retaining 95% of a given size glass bead). There are other indicators opening sizes that design methods have used such as O90, O98, Of or filtration opening size(FOS).

Kupferschiefer-type deposits occur typically as zonally distributed, disseminated sulphides at oxidation-reduction boundaries in anoxic rocks at the base of a marine or large-scale saline lacustrine transgressive cycle overlying or interbedded with continental redbeds. Redbeds and evaporites are characteristic associated rock types. Copper is the most important metal found in these deposits and silver and cobalt are the most important byproduct or, in a few localities, coproduct metals. 1, record 21, English, - Kupferschiefer%2Dtype%20deposit

There appears to be a possible gradation in type and environment from deposits such as the Kupferschiefer, which are dominantly composed of normal sedimentary material and which occur in a non-volcanic sedimentary environment, through deposits such as Sullivan, which are richer in sulphur and may have some minor volcanic formations in their host succession, to the volcanic massive sulphide deposits which are mainly composed of sulphides and occur in host rocks dominated by volcanics. 2, record 21, English, - Kupferschiefer%2Dtype%20deposit
