A grading system is used to mark the degree of capsular contraction : Baker grade 1 : The breast looks natural and feels soft; Baker grade 2 : The breast looks natural but is a little bit firm; Baker grade 3 : The breast looks slightly distorted and is firm and Baker grade 4 : The breast looks distorted and feels hard. Contraction capsulaire. La contraction capsulaire intervient quand le tissu cicatrisant ou la capsule qui se forme normalement autour de l'implant serre et compresse l'implant. Cela peut arriver à un ou aux deux implants. Il y a quatre étapes lors d'une contraction capsulaire connues sous le nom des étapes de Baker. Les étapes de Baker sont les suivantes : étape 1 - le sein est normalement souple et semble naturel; étape 2 - le sein est un peu ferme mais semble naturel; étape 3 - le sein est ferme et semble anormal; étape 4 - le sein est dur, douloureux et semble anormal.
