GRADE-SEPARATED RIGHT-OF-WAY [1 record]

Record 1 2011-03-17

English

Subject field(s)
  • Mass Transit
DEF

A light rail transit(LRT) system that exclusively uses an exclusive(grade-separated) right-of-way.

OBS

The French terms "système léger sur rail" and "métro léger" are the equivalents for "light rail transit" (LRT) which designates a broader concept than "light rail rapid transit" and "light metro" since it includes systems running on semi-exclusive and/or exclusive rights-of-way. In French, all systems are referred to as "système léger sur rail" or "métro léger."

Key term(s)
  • light-rail rapid transit

French

Domaine(s)
  • Transports en commun
DEF
