Each sample is identified and then prepared for grading using precision equipment approved by the Commission for weighing the sample and for removing dockage. A portion of the cleaned sample is tested for moisture using laboratory approved apparatus. The sample is then examined for all grading factors. Grade is determined and recorded with notations to indicate reasons for assigning a specific grade. An official certificate of grade is issued for all samples officially taken and an advice of grade is issued for unofficial samples submitted. These documents indicate grade, and where necessary, moisture content. All export shipments are accompanied by a document called a Certificate Final which shows the quantity and grade of the shipment. 1, record 2, English, - standardized%20grading%20procedure

1, record 2, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20d%27agr%C3%A9age%20normalis%C3%A9

Two basic grain grading systems are in use throughout the world : the fair average quality system and the numerical system. The numerical system is the more common system. It separates grain into divisions of quality defined by grading factors. Each division is identified by a grade name or number and grain is bought and sold on the basis of these grades. Buyers obtain the specific quality desired by selecting the grain by grade name and number. In some grading systems, such as Canada's, a certificate of grade is acceptable to an importer, and no additional samples are required as evidence of quality. In other systems, importers demand additional safeguards, such as a sample, together with analytical details of the actual grain being shipped. 1, record 3, English, - numerical%20system

1, record 3, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20num%C3%A9rique
