As the corn plant matures, the grain content increases, but the digestibility of the starch declines. Often, the energy content of mature silages is diminished and the available energy is lower than silage harvested at one-half milk line, even though the fiber content is lower in the more mature silage. More mature silages also will tend to have lower sugar contents and lower fiber digestibility than those harvested near one-half milk line. 2, record 1, English, - mature%20silage

An etching technique characterized by the control of tonal areas that produces an unlimited series of gradations from pale gray to velvety black and a pleasing granular effect. 2, record 3, English, - aquatint
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The medium of aquatint is related to etching, but concerned with areas of tone rather than line. The plate is dusted with powdered asphalt(or resin) ;the coarseness of the grain is determined by the effects desired. The plate is then heated so that the asphalt particles adhere to the copper. The melted asphalt protects the copper when the plate is immersed in the acid bath; only the copper exposed between the asphalt deposits is bitten. The longer the biting, the darker the tonal areas will print. Areas not to be etched are protected("stopped out") with an asphalt varnish. 3, record 3, English, - aquatint

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
4, record 3, French, - aquatinte

AC Harper is a six-row yellow aleurone, hulled, spring feed barley with smooth awns, suitable for the Canadian prairies. Ac Harper was developed from a cross between a scald resistant backcross line of Galt and BT364, which has high grain yield and strong straw. It has a combination of high yield potentiel, good resistance to lodging, short straw, and resistance to scald. AC Harper has improved kernel plumpness, protein content, and kernel colour compared to the feed check, Brier. 2, record 9, English, - yellow%2Daleuroned%20six%2Drowed%20barley

The tendency for slide and negative/print films to shift during long exposures is called "reciprocity failure". The different color layers and dyes of any film react to light at different rates, and film manufactures design their films so that the different dyes produce accurate overall colors during the most often used exposures, usually 1/30th of a second or faster. 3, record 11, English, - reciprocity%20failure

Kodak T-Max 100 Pro is an extremely fine grain, high resolution film with slightly less red sensitivity than Plus-X. The film has little toe and lots of straight line in its characteristic curve. Shadow separation is excellent, but processing consistency is essential. Reciprocity departure characteristics are excellent, this film is therefore faster than a number of higher-rated films at exposure times of several seconds or more. 4, record 11, English, - reciprocity%20failure
Record number: 11, Textual support number: 1 OBS
According to the reciprocity law, as long as the exposure (light intensity x time) remains constant the response of the emulsion is the same.
