The Market and Policy Analysis Division is generally responsible for the analysis and evaluation of the performance and structure of the grain industry and the development of policies and programs, with respect to both domestic and international matters, with a view to improving industry performance. The Division also participates in the assembly and analysis of market information to assist in the identification of marketing market development opportunities and the formulation of initiatives for their exploitation. Acting as representatives of the Commission, Assistant Commissioners investigate producers’ complaints, inspect primary elevators, and report regularly to the Commission on their activities.
