In 1999, RBC(Royal Bank of Canada) convened an Advisory Panel of education experts from across Canada to help focus RBC' s funding on programs that help keep kids in school. After-school programs were cited as being one area where RBC could help out at the community level and make a real difference. RBC After-School Grant recipient programs offer a range of structured, supervised activities that encourage social skills and self-esteem. Activities such as computer instruction, sports, literacy tutoring, music and art lessons, nutrition guidance, and homework-help provide kids with opportunities to gain an area of competence outside of academics and benefit their self-esteem. 1, record 1, English, - After%2DSchool%20Grants%20Program

1, record 1, French, - Programme%20de%20subventions%20d%27activit%C3%A9s%20parascolaires
