Nanoscale iron offers distinct advantages over conventional iron for in-situ applications in groundwater because they can be delivered to the subsurface without the need for excavation. This removes limitations due to depth, site structures and facility operations. A nanoscale colloid is small enough to flow through the pore space and associated pore throats of many granular geologic matrixes. The issues governing potential transport are not so much direct filtration, but the effects of gravity and the attractive forces at work on the mineral and colloid surfaces; this also includes agglomeration of the colloids in the injection solution. 2, record 2, English, - nanoscale%20colloid

Factors influencing the filtration performance of geotextile can be classified into four categories-external conditions(hydraulic gradient and loading state) ;(bio) chemical conditions of fluent(pH, hardness(e. g. [Fe], [Mn], [Mg], [Ca]), redox potential(Eh) for iron ochre, BOD and COD of water(substrate type/concentration), osmotic pressure and dissolved oxygen) ;the properties of basement material(coefficient of uniformity(Cu), coefficient of gradation(Cc), plastic index(PI), double hydrometer ratio(DHR) for dispersive clay, particle shape and grain hardness for granular soil, compaction degree of soil and saturation degree) ;and the properties of geotextile(filtration opening size(FOS), apparent opening size(AOS), fiber density, textile bulk density(mass/area), porosity, thickness and fiber material)... screen test results clearly indicated that the height of self filtration is proportional to the constriction size(Dc) of granular filter used. Additionally, they suggested the filter opening size value should be within the range between d50 and d80 for linearly graded soil and within the flat range in gap graded soil. 2, record 5, English, - opening%20size

4, record 5, French, - ouverture%20de%20filtration

Aqua-Clear MGA is a dry blend of granular acid and additives used in the removal of iron, manganese and carbonate scale. It retains strength longer than most liquid acids which increases its cleaning capability. Applications/Functions : Disperse scale and incrustation. Removed scale and incrustation from water well screen, casing, gravel, and pumping equipment. Restore well production. Aqua-Clear MGA can be used in combination with Aqua-Clear AE to remove more difficult scale and incrustation. Advantages : Safe to use on all plastics, rubber and metals. No toxic vapours. Improves water quality(colour, taste and appearance). Reduces equipment and piping failures due to scale build up and corrosion. Lowers pumping costs. 3, record 6, English, - incrustation
