Two commonly noted phenomena are the reorganization of exsolution bodies and the destruction of colloform textures.... A general decrease in the incidence of colloform textures with an increasing grade of metamorphism has been reported from pyritic deposits in the Urals, Japanese sulphide deposits and Canadian Precambrian volcanic masive sulphide deposits. Both these adjustments generally improve the ores from the point of view of the mineral processor. Exsolution bodies do not pass with their host grains into the wrong concentrate and the replacement of colloform textures by granular intergrowths leads to better mineral separation during grinding.
