GREAT CAUTION [2 records]

Record 1 2007-03-06

English

Subject field(s)
  • Missiles and Rockets
CONT

These warheads usually contain a flare or magnesium flare candle as the payload, which is expelled by a small charge and is parachuted to the ground. During its descent the flare is kindled. The illuminating warhead is thus of great usefulness during night attacks in pointing out enemy fortifications. Because these flares are difficult to extinguish if accidentally ignited, extreme caution in their handling is required.

CONT

The illuminating warheads (ECL) can be fired from a helicopter or an aircraft ... giving average light of 1,000,000 candelas for more than 60 seconds.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Missiles et roquettes
CONT

La tête éclairante (ECL) peut être tirée soit d'un avion, soit d'un hélicoptère [...] et produire un éclairement moyen de 1 000 000 de candelas pendant plus de 60 secondes.

Subject field(s)
  • Reproduction (Medicine)
CONT

Since the length of the menstrual cycle and the time of ovulation are not entirely predictable, the rhythm method based on the calendar alone(called the calendar rhythm method) should be used with great caution.... if the menstrual cycles ranged from twenty-six to thirty-six days during the previous twelve months, one could expect ovulation to occur... between the twelfth and sixteenth days of the present cycle.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Reproduction (Médecine)

La méthode Ogino-Knauss .... La grande faiblesse de cette méthode est l'irrégularité des cycles et de la période d'ovulation.
