DEF

An erroneous conception or mistaken notion.

CONT

Another solution is to gather a great deal of information about likely errors or misconceptions for a given domain and a given population of knowledge and to include these observed distortions as primitives of the modeling language.

CONT

It is relatively easy to tell when a student is making an error; the more difficult task for the tutor is to determine the underlying misconceptions responsible for that error. And once the source of the error has been found, the tutor has to figure out the most efficient way to correct the student’s misunderstanding.

CONT

Misconceptions are modeled as deep cognitive structures that can explain erroneous (and correct) answers.

OBS

... a bug is an error in a computer program, while a misconception is some conceptualization in the student’s mind that can lead to a program bug.

By the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), 1999. "The English version of this specification is the only normative version".

OBS

This specification defines the HyperText Markup Language(HTML), the publishing language of the World Wide Web. This specification defines HTML 4. 01, which is a subversion of HTML 4. In addition to the text, multimedia, and hyperlink features of the previous versions of HTML(HTML 3. 2 [HTML32] and HTML 2. 0 [RFC1866]), HTML 4 supports more multimedia options, scripting languages, style sheets, better printing facilities, and documents that are more accessible to users with disabilities. HTML 4 also takes great strides towards the internationalization of documents, with the goal of making the Web truly World Wide. HTML 4 is an SGML application conforming to International Standard ISO 8879--Standard Generalized Markup Language [ISO8879].

In a number of cities consuls are grouped in a consular corps. Such a group constitutes a private association which is not entitled to official recognition or benefit under international law, the local authorities preserving complete liberty with respect to it. Pursuing the common defence of its members’ professional interests the consular corps should limit the scope of its activities to the interpretation of local customs and usages.
