Patient medical devices often have limited resources and most IMDs [implantable medical devices] have tightly-constrained processing, storage, and power resources. Nevertheless, long-term patient medical devices must store up to three to twelve months of patient data between follow-up sessions. Frequently, to maximize available resource utilization, only one set of patient measures are recorded per day and are averaged weekly to compress data storage overhead. As a result, patient follow-up can be artificially restricted by the data actually captured. For instance, the monitoring features enabled by a patient medical device can potentially limit the scope of medical review and evaluation by filtering out transient but medically significant events.

While most studies and programs are for all types of telehealth training, some providers have hesitations or concerns about the physical exam aspect specifically, and this type of training and education is especially relevant. Usages do not agree on the meaning of these adjectives sometimes considered synonyms. Usually, "Greater" means a large city with its surrounding suburbs while "Metropolitan" includes also the inhabited region surrounding the former. Thus, the expression "Greater Montréal" was understood as grouping all the municipalities of the Île de Montréal, or Montréal Island, now forming the new city of Montréal, but as excluding those on Jésus Island, Bizard Island and the South Shore. To include all of these, the expression "Metropolitan Montréal" or "Greater Montréal area" was used. Nevertheless, as usages may differ, it is always necessary to refer to the context to understand what is meant.

Ainsi, l'expression «Grand Montréal» (au masculin parce qu'elle sous-entend qu'il s'agit d'un district), parfois «agglomération montréalaise», englobait toutes les municipalités de l'île de Montréal (devenue la nouvelle ville de Montréal) mais excluait celles de l'île Jésus, de l'île Bizard et de la Rive-Sud. Pour comprendre ces dernières, l'usage préférait «la grande agglomération de Montréal» ou «le Montréal métropolitain». Cependant, comme les usages continuent à varier, il est préférable de s'en remettre au contexte pour bien saisir le propos.

L'usage de [l'adjectif métropolitain] pour qualifier une ville et sa banlieue est critiqué. En effet, toutes les villes qui ont une banlieue ne sont pas nécessairement des métropoles. Il serait certainement plus correct d'employer les expressions «agglomération» (suivie de l'adjectif relatif à la ville) ou «Grand» (suivi du nom de la ville).
