Often associated with gluteus medius tendinitis, this condition is characterised by an inflammation of the bursae overlying the greater trochanter of the femur, most commonly the large multilocular bursa that lies between the gluteus medius and the tensor fascia latae. It is an overuse injury, predominantly seen in runners. Pain is often reproduced on stretch(hip flexion to 90 degrees with full lateral rotation of the hip) or contraction of the gluteus medius(resisted abduction of the hip). 2, record 4, English, - trochanteric%20bursitis

A sign typically found in the destructive phase of Paget's disease. The lesion begins at the end of a bone or at an apophysis, such as the greater trochanter or tibial tubercle, and extends along the shaft. This results in an area of radiolucency that ends in a characteristic sharply marginated angular configuration. [From EISER, 1984, p. 305. ] 4, record 17, English, - blade%20of%20grass%20appearance
