Burial ritual : In the Greek Orthodox Church, burial of the deceased occurs after a church funeral service. Before leaving the church, the priest anoints the body of the deceased in the sign of the cross with oil and earth. At the cemetery, the priest chants the Trisagion prayer... which is repeated three times before the body is committed to the grave.

Minéral du système orthorhombique constitué d'un silicate naturel complexe d'aluminium et de fer, caractérisé par ses deux macles : la croisette de Bretagne (prismes à 90°) et la croix de Saint-André (prismes à 60° et 120°).

[...] La cassure est en général conchoïdale. La couleur est très variable, du jaune au rouge brun, et les cristaux sont souvent d'aspect très rouillé. [...] éclat vitreux [...]; d = 7,5 [...] Elle accompagne disthène et surtout grenat dans de nombreux schistes cristallins. Elle se trouve souvent dans les alluvions au titre de minéral lourd.
