The NDVI has been correlated with such physical measurements as total standing biomass green leaf-area index (LAI) and per cent vegetation cover but is probably best described as a relative measure of vegetation vigor and photosynthetic activity. 4, record 1, English, - normalized%20difference%20vegetation%20index

Normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) is the ratio between the difference and sum of two spectral bands. One band is in the visible spectrum(e. g. avhrr_ch1) and one band in the near IR [infrared]... NDVI provides an estimation of the health of vegetation and the means of monitoring changes in vegetation over time. Values close to zero mean little or no vegetation and values close to +1(0. 6-0. 9) indicate high density of green leaves. 5, record 1, English, - normalized%20difference%20vegetation%20index

2, record 4, French, - densifier%20la%20ville

Extruded polystyrene [XEPS] foam begins with solid polystyrene crystals. The crystals, along with special additives and a blowing agent, are fed into an extruder. Within the extruder the mixture is combined and melted, under controlled conditions of high temperature and pressure, into a viscous plastic fluid. The hot, thick liquid is then forced in a continuous process through a die. As it emerges from the die it expands to a foam, is shaped, cooled, and trimmed to dimension. This continuous extrusion process results in a unique foam product with a uniform closed-cell structure, a smooth continuous skin, and consistent product qualities, qualities unequaled by other insulation types. 6, record 8, English, - extruded%20polystyrene%20foam
Record number: 8, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Extruded polystyrene foam... There is considerable confusion about extruded foam, mainly because it is made by many different companies, and appears in many different colors and densities. There is "artboard", green foam, pink foam, gray foam, blue foam and more. All of these are extruded polystyrene. The lowest density extruded styrene foams all range about 1. 75 pounds per cubic foot. Curiously, extruded foam panels from the same manufacturer exhibit considerable variation in density... ranging from 1. 8 to 2. 1 pounds per cubic foot, all in the same batch.... Different manufacturers also produce different qualities of extruded foam. Some foam seems to have more impurities and air bubbles than others. 7, record 8, English, - extruded%20polystyrene%20foam

1, record 8, French, - mousse%20de%20polystyr%C3%A8ne%20extrud%C3%A9e
