Adult-onset vitelliform macular dystrophy (AVMD) is an inherited maculopathy characterized by metamorphopsias and decrease in visual acuity occurring between the fourth and the sixth decade. It is characterized by an "egg yolk" macular lesion eventually evolving towards foveal atrophy and fibrosis. 8, record 1, English, - adult%2Donset%20vitelliform%20macular%20dystrophy
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Adult vitelliform macular dystrophy.... It is characterized by a focal, round or oval shaped, subretinal yellowish foveal lesion, often with one or more pigment stops on the anterior surface at the level of the pigment epithelium. The lesions may vary in size but are typically one third to one half of a disc diameter, and are usually bilateral and symmetrical. Patients usually present in the fourth or fifth decade of life and tend to have minimal visual symptoms... The disorder differs from... Best's disease... in that foveal lesions are smaller, it presents at a later age, it does not demonstrate evolutionary changes of the foveal lesion, and the light-induced rise in ocular potential is rarely absent. 9, record 1, English, - adult%2Donset%20vitelliform%20macular%20dystrophy

Distillation extractive. 2, record 5, French, - extraction%20d%27eau%20lourde

These stages include(1) the cumulus stage,(2) the mature stage, and(3) the dissipation stage.... The mature stage is characterized by the existence of both updrafts and downdrafts in the lower half of the cell. The start of this stage is marked when the rain first falls distinctly out of the bottom of the cloud. It is during this stage that the most intense lightning occurs, the heaviest rains are recorded at the surface, and the strongest winds are observed. If present, hail will occur during this stage. 3, record 11, English, - mature%20stage

The Life Science Glovebox will provide a sealed work area in which crew members can perform experimental procedures.... The enclosed volume of the Glovebox will be about one half cubic meter(approximately 16 cubic feet). As air circulates through the work space, activated charcoal filters will clean it continuously by adsorbing chemicals that may be present. In addition, a high efficiency air filter will remove particles and aerosols. Two HHRs [Habitat Holding Racks] provide the structural, mechanical, environmental, and communications support for the biospecimen habitats. The HHRs will provide life support resources and electrical power to the habitats and other scientific equipment, as well as data links to ISS [International Space Station] systems and the ground. 4, record 12, English, - life%20science%20glovebox

A number of parameters are measured by laboratory technicians to ensure that the quality of beer meets the satisfaction of the drinker. Among these parameters is Beer Foam analysis. Foam in a beer is produced once it is poured into a glass in a practical sense. In a laboratory situation, foam is produced in a test tube by the reproducable shaking of a beer sample. Traditionally, laboratory technicians would observe the beer sample and try to determine values for foam potential, the foam half life, and drainage. This procedure would be described as a Foam Assay. 2, record 13, English, - head
