A place that provides accommodation to offenders who are on parole, statutory release or temporary absence.

CONT

A community-based residential facility(CBRF) is a half-way house. These facilities provide a bridge between the institution and the community. They work on a system of gradual, supervised release. Many offer programming for residents. This may include life skills, substance abuse, employment and/or crisis counselling.
