Record 2 1996-08-19

English

Subject field(s)
  • Printing Processes - Various
CONT

The term "cut" originally referred to a woodcut but is now commonly used to mean an engraving(line cut or halftone), an etching, a picture printed from these, or other illustrative matter.

OBS

Whenever possible, it is best to specify what type of cut is meant, e. g. a halftone cut, a line cut, in order to avoid confusion.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Procédés d'impression divers
CONT
