The Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education(CAPDHHE) was founded in 2000. CAPDHHE evolved from Canadian Association Against Sexual Harassment in Higher Education(CAASHHE). CAASHHE itself evolved from the Natonal Conference on Sexual Harassment Association(NCOSHA), which was founded in 1984 to provide an annual conference concerning sexual harassment in institutions of higher education in Canada. The founding institutions were the University of Calgary, the University of Alberta and York University.
