The mouth bow is the simplest stringed instrument, named so because it indeed takes the form of a small bow upon which a string made of fibre or reed is stretched.... To play it, one end of the string is held between the musician's lips, while it is plucked by the musician or struck with a thin twig. In this way the mouth works as a sound box. By expanding or contracting the oral cavity and by slightly opening the lips, harmonics can be created. Using another stick the player can damp the string, thus shortening it and producing a higher tone. In this way two fundamentals can be produced. 2, record 1, English, - mouth%20bow

1, record 2, Spanish, - s%C3%ADntesis%20de%20concatenaci%C3%B3n

Pitched instruments are those that have a well-defined pitch or fundamental frequency-in this case, normally the "pitch"(a subjective frequency measure) matches the "fundamental frequency"(an objective frequency measure). For that reason, it is common that both terms be used interchangeably. Most pitched instruments are also harmonic, meaning that their partials... are close to being harmonics... However, some percussion instruments have a defined pitch, but their partials tend to be nonharmonic. 1, record 11, English, - pitched%20instrument

Cepstral analysis has been widely applied to gear monitoring. The cepstrum is well suited for the detection of sidebands in vibration spectra and for the estimation of their evolution during gear life. In addition, since the cepstrum estimates the average sideband spacing over a wide frequency range, it allows very accurate measurement of the sideband periodicity. It is therefore applicable to both detection and diagnosis of gear faults. 2, record 26, English, - cepstral%20analysis

In the geosciences, a commonly used form of harmonics are the surface spherical harmonics. These functions are much used in geodesy because they are relatively simple to use and because the earth's shape can be approximated by a sphere. The coordinates normally associated with spherical harmonics are the spherical coordinates : radius r, co-latitude or polar distance(Theta), and longitude(Lambda).... The surface spherical harmonics are Legendre functions multiplied by cos m(Lambda) or sin m(Lambda), where(Lambda) is the longitude... 3, record 28, English, - surface%20spherical%20harmonic
