[Type] of warp tension meter. Meters for measuring tensions of the magnitude found in trawl warps may be broadly classified into two types : those [that] measure the force required to cause a known deflection of the warp as a known function of warp tension, and those [that] measure the actual tension by assuming the full load themselves.... almost all [are] mechanical or electrical strain gauge sensors and [have] stress indicators rather than stress recorders. 2, record 1, English, - warp%20tension%20meter

In resolving conflicts within the family, between landlords and tenants, businessmen and customers, or management and labour, citizens and police have always been reluctant to use the full force of the criminal law. This absorption of crime by the community, police screening of cases out of the criminal justice system, settling of incidents at the pre-trial level, or using sanctions other than imprisonment are examples of what is commonly referred to as diversion. 3, record 3, English, - diversion
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
When "diversion" is used to refer to such a wide range of functions as indicated above, care is needed in specifying just what type of diversion is under discussion. No one definition of diversion seems capable of comprehending everything done in its name. 3, record 3, English, - diversion
