A new ecclesiastical jurisdiction has been eating away at the margins of civil authority. It surfaced as the dispute over "Political Correctness"(PC) or the seizure of normally secular jurisdiction by campus "courts". This new orthodoxy rests on the premise that colleges and universities have a jurisdiction over the lives of their students that is independent of the law of the land. The discussion of PC has indicated the ludicrous length this new faith has reached, and has done a good deal to discredit its prophets.(National Review, October 2, 1991, p. 34). 4, record 1, English, - political%20correctness

As approved by the Cabinet and announced in Budget 2005, it will be mandatory for all departments and agencies to use Public Works and Government Services Canada Standing Offers, where they exist. Since many of the current Standing Offers may be specific to one Region or may have been negotiated some time ago, we have recently completed a review of the Standing Offers in place for a first Group of 10 commonly purchased goods and services, to ensure that they are useable and represent good value. 1, record 2, English, - Standing%20Offer%20Index

1, record 2, French, - Index%20des%20offres%20%C3%A0%20commandes

All elements of the Envisat-1 mission, including the Polar Platform, the payload instruments and the ground segment, have been reviewed together for the first time, showing good overall progress. Problems have been identified in some specific areas and the necessary remedial actions have been defined. The industrial consortia, led by BAe and Dornier, have been briefed on the main results of the Review. 2, record 3, English, - Envisat%20mission%20system%20preliminary%20design%20review
