Ships may capsize and sink in water that is deeper than the beam of the ship. The sunken ship becomes an underwater obstruction and hazard to maritime traffic. Water depth around and over the ship at high water determines the extent and seriousness of the hazard and the urgency of removal. Refloating the ship upside down is sometimes suitable in such cases.... The refloated ship is to be scuttled in deep water, scrapped in a drydock, or taken to a location that can accept the upsidedown ship. Integrated approaches to testing and assessment(IATAs) use an iterative approach to answer a defined hazard characterization question within a specific regulatory context. An IATA integrates and weights all relevant and reliable existing information about a chemical, such as toxicity data, exposure routes, use cases, and production volumes; guides the targeted generation of new data, preferably using non-animal approaches, to inform regulatory decision-making; and provides a conclusion, sometimes based on expert judgment, that can inform regulatory decision-making. 2, record 52, English, - integrated%20approach%20to%20testing%20and%20assessment

There are two types of vacuum pumps commonly used in the tritium processing industry : the oil-filled vane pump and the dry scroll pump. The oil-filled vane pump has been in use in the vacuum industry for over a hundred years. It is reliable and easily maintained. However, the oil comes into contact with the tritium and becomes heavily contaminated. This poses a hazard during maintenance, and the disposal of contaminated oil is becoming more difficult. Dans la marine de guerre, le sabordage évite qu'un navire passe entre les mains de l'ennemi et permet à l'équipage d'échapper à la capture […]. power-on : is a situation when the pilot maintains the helicopter in a hover while in contact with the ground or other surface. Usually done when the landing surface needs to be tested before the pilot allows the full weight of the machine and passengers to rest on the surface. The power-on downwash is particularly strong and can be quite cold so wear proper protection. It is also quite loud so wear your headset or other hearing protection. [Environment Canada.

1, record 98, French, - prise%20de%20contact%20en%20vol%20stationnaire
