2, record 3, French, - d%C3%A9molition%20par%20abandon

In evaluating the safety of food residues, the most appropriate NOAEL [no observed adverse effect level] is divided by a safety factor, usually of 100. This number may be lower or higher, depending on a number of factors considered in the hazard assessment, such as the type of effect observed. The resulting figure provides the acceptable daily intake-the amount of the pesticide that toxicologists consider safe for humans to consume each day for an entire lifetime. 2, record 7, English, - safety%20factor

The... system, which was called "Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling Chemicals(GHS), "addresses classification of chemicals by types of hazard and proposes harmonized hazard communication elements, including labels and safety data sheets. It aims at ensuring that information on physical hazards and toxicity from chemicals be available in order to enhance the protection of human health and the environment during the handling, transport and use of these chemicals. The GHS also provides a basis for harmonization of rules and regulations on chemicals at national, regional and worldwide level, an important factor also for trade facilitation. 2, record 15, English, - Globally%20Harmonized%20System%20of%20Classification%20and%20Labelling%20of%20Chemicals

Lockout and tagging ensures that hazardous energy sources are under the control of each worker. Serious or fatal accidents can occur when people assume that machinery is turned off or made harmless but it isn’t. Lockout is a procedure that prevents the release of hazardous energy. It often involves workers using a padlock to keep a switch in the "off" position, or to isolate the energy of moving parts. This prevents electric shock, sudden movement of components, chemical combustion, falling counterweights, and other actions that can endanger lives. Lockout is a physical way to ensure that the energy source is de-energized, deactivated, or otherwise inoperable. 2, record 41, English, - lock%2Dout

Wilde's theory is based on a cost-benefit model. He studied how people modify their hazard perception when safety systems are implemented. This process... states that people adjust their risk acceptance decision and their risk-taking behaviour towards their target level of perceived risk. Stating that people will behave more cautiously and accept fewer risks when they feel threatened, conversely, they will behave more daringly and accept higher levels of risk when they feel safe and secure. 1, record 50, English, - risk%20homeostatic%20theory
