HOAR-FROST [1 record]

Record 1 2011-05-16

English

Subject field(s)
  • Thermodynamics
  • Air Conditioning and Heating
DEF

The physical process by which vapour passes into the liquid or solid form. It occurs either when air is cooled to its "dew-point" or when air becomes saturated by evaporation into it. Further cooling will cause the excess vapour in the air to be condensed on nuclei as minute water droplets or... into the solid form of "hoar-frost".

French

Domaine(s)
  • Thermodynamique
  • Conditionnement de l'air et chauffage
DEF
