A toggle bolt, also known as a butterfly anchor, is a fastener for hanging things on hollow walls such as drywalls. Toggle bolts have wings that open inside a hollow wall, bracing against it to hold the fastener securely. The wings are much larger than the bolt they are attached to. This spreads the weight of the secured item over a larger area, increasing the weight that can be secured compared to a regular bolt. 3, record 1, English, - toggle%20bolt

Boron Deficiency. A small quantity of boron is required for normal growth of most plants. For some there is not much leeway between necessary and toxic amounts; other plants require or tolerate large amounts. Deficiency symptoms vary with the crop... Beets, turnips, other root crops. Black Heart, Brown Heart. Roots have dark spots; plants are gradually stunted and dwarfed; leaves are small, variegated, twisted. The interior of the beet or turnip has a dark brown to nearly black water-soaked area, sometimes with a hollow center. The amount of borax that can be added without injury depends on type of soil and moisture content. 1, record 2, English, - brown%20heart

1, record 2, French, - c%26oelig%3Bur%20brun

Device enabling a larger surface area to be obtained without making large and unwieldy stacks of flat membrane. One only has to mould the membrane into a tube and then incorporate a number of such membrane tubes into a cartridge; liquid can then be recirculated through the cartridge and sufficient pressure for ultra-filtration obtained by restricting the flow downstream of the cartridge. In some systems the membrane may be moulded round a plastic rod which is grooved to produce a thin channel effect; it has been suggested that this is more efficient in reducing concentration polarization than a hollow membrane tube. The cartridge system has been used in various large-scale units with membrane areas of up to several square feet. 2, record 7, English, - cartridge%20membrane

... RACE, an innovative, chic, and highly flexible method of organizing individual work areas [designed by Montréal designer David Ball]. RACE consists of components that are designed to be easily adjustable. Space dividers, desktops and filing space are all supported by a horizontal beam with a so-called raceway, a hollow core containing electrical wiring and data communications cables. The beam rests on metal posts at desk-top level, providing easy access to electrical outlets and allowing air to flow freely around and under the work area. Padded acoustic panels can be snapped onto vertical bars that rise above the desktop, providing privacy. Unlike similar systems, each piece can be moved separately and the raceway, for which the design is named, is flexible enough to accommodate rapidly changing communications systems. First developed in 1978, RACE has been fine-tuned over the years.... Its manufacturer and distributor, Haworth Inc. of Holland, Mich., acquired the manufacturing rights to RACE in 1990.... 2, record 8, English, - Race%20system
