Alberta Home and School Councils’ Association is a provincial association of parents and community supporters who are committed to enhancing student success through meaningful involvement in children's education and schooling. AHSCA is a non-profit organization. Our membership consists mainly of school-based parent groups, who are represented through their School Councils.

The Canadian Association for Young Children(CAYC) was granted it's Federal Charter in 1974. To this day, the CAYC, is the only national association specifically concerned with the well being of children, birth through age nine-at home, in preschool settings and at school. The CAYC exists to provide a voice on critical issues related to the quality of life of all young children and families.
