Founded in 1990, the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada, Inc.(IAAC) is a national registered charitable organization working for choice and access to treatment options for those with infertility concerns. This is achieved through awareness, support and education. The IAAC is governed by a volunteer National Board of Directors. Chapters(in 1999 located in Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Winnipeg), affiliates, and regional and community contacts are located across Canada. IAAC is a founding member of the International Federation of Infertility Patient Associations(IFIPA) and works cooperatively with physician organizations such as the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society & the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. IAAC has a quarterly publication "The Canadian Journal of Infertility Awareness. "[Taken from an information paper sent to donators. ]
