The continuing proliferation of customer interface points-automatic tellers, debit cards, telephone banking, etc. creates confusion. Financial institutions will eliminate this by improving penetration of services. Many financial institutions are considering outsourcing transaction processing, implementing point ventures with other financial institutions, and private labelling financial services products from competitors. Ernst & Young is now using this Virtual Bank Model of Banking to held books develop the right operations framework : focus on the customer, select key competencies, form point ventures, and use outsourcing to provide non essential services.(En Route, Air-Canada in-flight magazine, June 1994, p. 31). 1, record 1, English, - virtual%20bank

1, record 1, French, - banque%20virtuelle

Recoton develops breakthrough technology which transmits stereo sound through walls, ceilings and floor up to 150 feet. In June 1989, the Federal Communications Commission allocated a band of frequencies stretching from 902 to 928 MHz for wireless, in-home product applications. Recoton, a leading wireless speaker manufacturer, took advantage of the FCC ruling by creating a new speaker system that utilizes this frequency band to transmit clearer, stronger stereo signals throughout your home. You will be able to listen to your stereo, TV, VCR or CD player in any room of your home without having to run miles of speaker wire. The powerful transmitter plugs into a headphone, audio-out or tape-out jack on your stereo or TV component transmitting music wirelessly to your speakers or headphones. One transmitter, unlimited viewers.(En Route, Air-Canada in-flight magazine, June 1994, p. 24). 2, record 2, English, - wireless%20speaker

Since September last year, Dean College of Franklin, Mass., in cooperation with the Massachusetts Transit Authority, has offered continuing education courses that cover marketing and management as well as the 60 Km between Franklin and Boston. With the aid of a microphone and portable sound system, a business instructor from Dean College delivers a 50-minute lecture two or three times a week from the last car of the commuter train, pausing only for the conductor to shout out the name of each upcoming stop. The commuter courses cost US$ 330 each, can be applied toward a two-year associate of science degree and are especially popular with administrative assistants and executive secretaires seeking to improve their stations in life(En Route, Air Canada in-flight magazine, june 1994, p. 15). 1, record 3, English, - commuter%20course
