INHIBIT CIRCUIT [7 records]

Record 1 2017-10-31

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Hardware
  • Electronic Circuits Technology
CONT

The construction comprised of the magnets and wires forms a matrix called the plane. A magnetic field is created as the core magnets sit on the wires at a 45-degree angle. Both reading and writing operations are accomplished with the help of a third wire called the inhibit line.

CONT

Even though it is possible to have a single winding serving as the sense line during reading and the inhibit line during writing, the design of the circuit becomes too complex since the sense signal strength is nearly two orders of magnitude lesser than [the] inhibit drive current.

Record 2 2007-02-22

English

Subject field(s)
  • Electrical Circuits and Circuit Breakers
  • Guns (Land Forces)
  • Armour
CONT

The fire inhibit circuits are effective in both power and manual drive. When either gun is fired manually, neither circuit is effective, therefore extra care must be used to ensure guns are not fired over or near an open hatch.

Record 3 1985-02-04

English

Subject field(s)
  • Systems Analysis (Information Processing)
OBS

When the outgoing blanking is received at its counterpart circuit card in the other receiver-transmitter, it is translated into signals to control transmit-receive gate-generator outputs to inhibit RF transmission, keep search circuitry in a hold condition, and keep the blanking and self-test circuitry from responding erroneously.

OBS

self-test: The ability of a device, such as a printer, to run through its entire instruction set and to test the internal circuitry to be sure it is working properly before proceeding with a specific task.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Radio Transmission and Reception
OBS

Incorporated in each of the receiver-transmitters is a circuit card that serves the purpose of providing reciprocal blanking control signals that will inhibit the transmitter circuits of one receiver-transmitter while the transmitter of the other receiver-transmitter is gated on.
