An autoantibody found in high concentrations in some kidney diseases which binds to, and stabilizes C3b,Bb, thus potentiating alternative pathway activity.

CONT

Nephritic factor is an immunoglobulin found in patients with partial lipodystrophy and/or mesangiocapillary glomerulonephritis. It binds to the alternative pathway convertase enzyme C3bBd and stabilizes it by inhibiting release of Bb.

Vertical temperature distribution such that temperature increases with height.

The frequency, intensity and duration of temperature inversions in the atmosphere(when the temperature of the atmosphere increases instead of falling with height which has the effect of inhibiting the upward diffusion of gases) is a major factor influencing the dispersal of pollutants.

Les serristes donnent un sens particulier à l'inversion de température : pour eux il s'agit des cas où il fait plus froid sous serre non chauffée qu'en plein air. Cette situation s'observe par nuit claire, l'enceinte éliminant toute turbulence susceptible, par brassage, de limiter le refroidissement au voisinage du sol.

A kininogen-like glycosylation enhancing factor(GEF) induces such activated T cells to make an IgE potentiation factor that induces B lymphocytes to make IgE antibodies. In the presence of a lipomodulin-like glycosylation inhibiting factor(GIF), these same activated T cells make an IgE suppressor factor that inhibits B cells from making IgE antibodies.

... Two major classes of soluble factors with opposing activities in regard to regulation of IgE production were initially identified in mice. The inhibiting factor, termed suppressive factor of allergy(SFA), was first observed in the serum of low IgE responder mice, and was shown to inhibit irradiation-enhanced primary IgE responses, as well as adoptive secondary responses.
