Past assessments of western Atlantic bluefin tuna... have reduced the number of parameters by assuming pre-specified values for the ratios of the fishing mortality rates on adjacent age groups. More recent bluefin tuna assessments have estimated terminal fishing mortality rates(F) on each age with a constraint that restricts change from one year to the next.... The use of pre-specified ratios for F created strong retrospective biases and may have led to overly optimistic projections. Constraining annual changes in the terminal-year F appeared to mute retrospective patterns and resulted in abundance projections less prone to spurious initial leaps. 1, record 1, English, - terminal%2Dyear%20fishing%20mortality%20rate

The first – and easiest – social media metric to measure is volume... Volume is a great initial indicator of interest. People tend to talk about things they either love or hate... While volume can seem like a simple counting metric, there's more to it than just counting tweets [or] wall posts. It's important to measure the number of messages about your brand, as well as the number of people talking about your brand, and track how both of those numbers change over time. 4, record 9, English, - social%20media%20metric

The initial MSRF concept is three Materials Science Research Racks(MSRR-1, MSRR-2, MSRR-3) which will developed for a phased deployment beginning on UF-3 in September, 2001. Concepts for the required Experiment Modules which satisfy the goals and objectives of the Materials Science program, are being developed. It is anticipated that the useful life of each rack will be from a minimum of five(5) to up to ten(10) years. The operational life of the Experiment Modules(EM) is planned for a minimum of five(5) years. The Ems will be designed to be serviceable and maintainable on orbit for their operational duration to satisfy the peer-selected scientific flight investigations. Angular rate gyro accuracy is characterized by two parameters: scale factor and drift. The scale factor describes the capability of the gyro to accurately sense angular velocity at different angular rates. This value is used to convert the voltage output from the gyro into an angular rate. System imperfections can cause small variations in the scale factor. These variations appear as a factor at the output of the gyro. Gyro drift characterizes the ability of the gyro to reference all rate measurements to the nominal zero point. 3, record 36, English, - angular%20velocity

Angular velocity is the time rate of change of angular displacement. More simply it is a measure of how fast an object is rotating. For example, the measure of a skater's spinning speed during a sit spin is called angular velocity. Angular velocity is calculated by subtracting the initial angular position from the final angular position and dividing by the time it took to get from the initial to final position. Angular velocity is measured in radians/second(SI units) or degrees/second or revolutions/second(English units). 4, record 36, English, - angular%20velocity

A most important aspect of constructing a gyroscope is to mount the rotating wheel so that it is free of all unwanted torques. In an earlier paper, we considered the problem of intensities of electronic-totally symmetric vibrational bands in the electronic spectra of polyatomic molecules when one and the same vibrational motion may effect vibronic perturbations and at the same time form progressions by reason of a change in origin from initial to final electronic state. 3, record 45, English, - vibronic

Subsequent to the introduction and application of magnesium and sodium bases, several two-stage sulfite pulping methods using these bases have been developed and utilized commercially. These methods are generally characterized by a dramatic change in cooking pH between the initial stage(for penetration and sulfonation) and the second stage(for dissolution and removal of the lignin). In most cases, the recovery system is well integrated with the pulping process. 1, record 46, English, - two%2Dstage%20sulfite%20pulping

1, record 46, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20au%20bisulfite%20%C3%A0%20deux%20phases

We can think of centers-attractors-which compete for influence on the plane : an initial point is driven by the process to one center or another, or it is on the boundary and cannot decide. If the parameter is changed, the regions belonging to the attractors change, and with them the boundaries. It can happen that the boundary falls to dust, and this decay is one of the most important scenarios. 3, record 47, English, - decay
