2, record 1, French, - arrosage%20des%20rues

In early april 1935, 1500 residents of federal UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF CAMPS in BC went on strike and moved by train and truck to Vancouver. When local governments refused responsibility for the strikers’ welfare, and when the men themselves began to grow restless at the apparent failure of their movement, Arthur Evans(Workers’ Unity League) and his associates decided to take the strike to Ottawa. On June 3, over 1, 000 strikers began the "On to Ottawa Trek", determined to inform the nation of their cause and to lay complaints before Parliament and Prime Minister R. B. Some applications call for the look of perfect binding combined with the ability of a book to lay flat when opened. A variation of traditional perfect binding is called "lay flat binding. "The cover is glued only to the sides of the spine so that a perfect bound book can lay flat when open. A strip of gauze is glued to the spine edge of the book block to hold the signatures or pages together. This allows the book block to "float" over the spine and lay flat when opened. In traditional perfect binding, the cover is actually glued to the spine of the book which means the book will not open as far as a lay flat book. 2, record 8, English, - lay%2Dflat%20binding

1, record 8, French, - reliure%20pour%20ouverture%20%C3%A0%20plat

The Automated Tape Laying(ATL) process is an established process currently used to manufacture, from composite filament tapes, primary aircraft structural components such as critically loaded wing skin panels and tail surfaces. Automated tape laying is performed using a purpose built, multi-axis, numerically controlled, machine tool system, i. e. essentially such machines are gantry type robots... The machine is used to lay uni-directional carbon fibre tape onto a pre-shaped tool surface, which represents the shape of the finished component. Tools normally consist of a combination of flats, complex curves and build-up sections the ramp angles of which can vary over short distances. 3, record 10, English, - automated%20tape%20laying

[The coral stitch or knot] is best worked as a firm line as it becomes weak and straggling if the knots are too far apart. Work from right to left or from top to bottom. Bring the thread out at the starting point and lay it along the line to be worked, holding it down with the left thumb. Take a small stitch under the line where the knot is to be spaced(the thread lies on top of the needle as it enters the fabric) and pull through, taking the needle over the lower loop to form the knot.(A complete Guide to Embroidery, D. Dawson, 1976, p. 44). 1, record 16, English, - coral%20knot%20stitch
