Chicks between 6 and 20 weeks of age should be switched [from starter feed] to grower feed, which contains less protein than starter feed(16-18%) and less calcium than typical layer feed varieties. At the heart of the flotation process is the flotation cell, of which several designs are available. Here, air in the form of small bubbles is blended with the grey stock. The air bubbles become attached to ink and dirt particles, causing them to rise to the surface of the cell where they are removed as a dirt-laden layer of froth. Typically, 6 to 10 flotation cells in series are required for efficient ink removal depending on the level of dirt in the stock. 1, record 3, English, - Voith%20flotation%20cell

2, record 3, French, - cellule%20de%20flottation%20Voith

According to... the "Standard Proctor test"... a sample of soil is dried, pulverized and separated into two fractions by a no. 4 sieve. About 6 lb of the finer fraction are moistened with a small quantity of water and thoroughly mixed to produce a damp aggregate that is then packed, in three equal layers, into a cylindrical container of specified dimensions. Each layer is compacted by 25 blows of a standard tamper that is allowed to fall from a height of 1 ft. When the cylinder has been filled and struck off level at the top, the weight and the water content of the damp soil of the container are determined. By means of these quantities, the dry density can be computed. In a similar manner the dry density is determined for successively damper mixtures of the aggregate, until the dry density after compaction decreases conspicuously with increasing water content. A curve is plotted showing the relation between dry density and water content. 3, record 5, English, - standard%20Proctor%2Dtest

6, record 5, French, - Proctor%20normal

Super Audio CD(SACD) is a technology for high resolution multi-channel digital audio recordings proposed by Sony and Philips. SACD albums must contain one layer with the "Direct Stream Digital" encoding format which requires a SACD capable player. "Direct Stream Digital" encoding will be able to provide a frequency response from DC to 100 kHz with a dynamic range of 120 dB. Multichannel SACD players have 6 outputs and can play 5. 1 or 6 channel audio. SACD albums can optionally contain a second layer encoded with the CD-format(PCM at 44. 1-kHz/16-bit) in stereo allowing compatibility with existing CD players. 1, record 13, English, - Direct%20Stream%20Digital%20encoding

Cloud classification. A system... based on the system proposed by Luke Howard, a London pharmacist, in 1803. Howard divided clouds into three fundamental forms : stratus(sheet or layer clouds), cumulus(heaped-up clouds), and cirrus(fibrous or tufty clouds). The form nimbus was also added to indicate a rain cloud, but is now used only in composite forms, e. g. cumulonimbus.... Clouds are also classified into the height-based categories of low(up to 2 km), medium(2 km to 6 km), and high(above 6 km), with examples in each category being, respectively, cirrus, altocumulus, and stratus. The official International Classification scheme assigns a number to nine types of clouds. These are(ranging from high to low altitude types) :(0) cirrus,(1) cirrocumulus,(2) cirrostratus,(3) altocumulus,(4) altostratus,(5) nimbostratus,(6) stratocumulus,(7) stratus,(8) cumulus,(9) cumulonimbus. 3, record 17, English, - cloud%20classification

3, record 17, French, - classification%20des%20nuages
