LIQUEFIED FUEL GAS [6 records]

Record 1 2022-09-22

English

Subject field(s)
  • Energy Transformation
DEF

A medium for the transfer of energy from one place to another.

CONT

Electricity, refined liquid fuel, liquefied natural gas, coal slurry and piped hot water are just a few of the many energy vectors in use.

CONT

Hydrogen can act as an energy carrier to enable increased penetration of renewables by providing time shifting and energy storage capabilities. Hydrogen adds optionality in a future net-zero mix, complementing other energy vectors such as direct electrification and biofuels, and serving as a bridge between energy grids in an integrated energy system.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Transformation de l'énergie
DEF

Subject field(s)
  • Types of Ships and Boats
  • Special Water Transport
  • Transport of Oil and Natural Gas
DEF

A ship designed to carry liquid cargo in bulk within its cargo spaces, without the use of barrels or other containers.

CONT

Most tankers carry either crude oil from oil fields to refineries or petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, or petrochemical feedstock from refineries to distribution centres. Some tankers with special food-grade holds, pumps, and other handling equipment can carry molasses, edible oil, and even wine in bulk. Specialized ships for transporting liquefied natural gas and fruit juices are often called tankers, though on these ships the cargo is actually carried in large refrigerated containers that fit into the hold.

  • Types de bateaux
  • Transports par bateaux spéciaux
  • Transport du pétrole et du gaz naturel
DEF

English

Subject field(s)
  • Fuel Cells (Electr.)
CONT

Fuel processing... By the lack of a hydrogen infrastructure for mobile and stationary applications, technologies are being developed by which hydrogen can be generated from available fuels such as natural gas, LPG [liquefied petroleum gas] and gasoline with the highest possible efficiency.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Piles à combustible (Électricité)
CONT
