As the USEPA [United States Environmental Protection Agency] mentions, the term "extraction" traditionally refers to chemical extraction. Nowadays, however, the term is increasingly being used for any technology that reduces volume by removing contaminants from one medium and concentrating them in another. With this definition, soil washing is an extraction technology, though traditionally it has been considered separate from chemical extraction. 1, record 17, English, - extraction

1, record 17, French, - extraction

At particular temperature and pressure, state of moist air whose mixing ratio is such that the moist air can co-exist in neutral equilibrium with an associated condensed phase (liquid or solid) at the same temperature and pressure, the surface of separation being plane. 2, record 19, English, - saturation
Record number: 19, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Usage has provided two closely related but importantly different conceptions of the term saturation(a) One is the condition in which the vapor pressure exerted by water vapor is equal to the saturation vapor pressure at the prevailing temperature. This definition implies the presence of a plane surface of pure liquid water or ice, and thus is a condition dependent upon the temperature only, irrespective of actual environment. Since, in nature, such a "plane surface of pure water" is rarely found and the physico-chemical environment of water vapor is anything but constant, this strict concept of saturation can be very misleading with regard to actual condensation processes; but the conservative base which this definition supplies is required as a comparison standard(as for relative humidity measurements). More specific terminology is often advisedly used, like "saturation with respect to water" or "saturation with respect to ice".(b) The other is the condition in which the vapor pressure of water vapor is equal to the equilibrium vapor pressure under the existing environmental conditions(temperature; and shape, size and composition of adjacent matter)... It should be clear that saturation should always be defined "with respect to" an intended environment, either standard(as in a above) or actual. 3, record 19, English, - saturation

The average life of a Rig Mat is 10 years, but many have continued to be active for 15-20 years.... Our rig mats consist of two continuous wood sections with laminations glued and nailed together. After distillation, the dimethyldechlorosilanes are hydrolyzed to form silanols which rapidly condense to cyclic siloxanes and low molecular weight linear siloxanes. The latter are reacted with caustic to produce cyclic siloxanes, specifically dimethyl tetramer or D4 which is the primary input for all dimethyl silicone rubber polymer and which is a clear, low viscosity liquid. Ring opening polymerization of the cyclic D4 is then accomplished via strong base resulting in linear polymer whose molecular weight(viscosity) is controlled by the addition of monofunctional siloxanes which function as chain stoppers. 3, record 30, English, - cyclic%20siloxane

Thick film screen printing is the art of depositing conductive, resistive, and insulating materials on a dielectric base. This deposition is made through selected open areas in screens with inks or pastes forced through the open areas of the screen by squeegee motion onto the substrate base. In some cases, masks instead of conventional mesh screens may be used.... Thick film screen printing is commonly used for producing discrete components, hybrid circuits, large scale integration(LSI) arrays, liquid crystal displays, and dual-in-line packages(DIP). 1, record 33, English, - thick%20film%20screen%20printing

Saturation is the condition in which the vapor pressure exerted by water vapor is equal to the saturation vapor pressure at the prevailing temperature. More specific terminology is often advisedly used, like "saturation with respect to water" or "saturation with respect to ice". 1, record 36, English, - saturation%20with%20respect%20to%20ice
