The basic element for the knitting machine classification is the needle bed. The needle bed is the main part of a knitting machine and provides the platform for the movement of needles. It has cuts or grooves that provide the direction of movement to the knitting needles. This direction may be up and down or to and fro but could not be the lateral movement. The machine may be called single-bed or double-bed knitting machine on the basis of the number of needle beds. The single-bed knitting machine is also called the single-jersey knitting machine and the double-bed knitting machine is called the double-jersey knitting machine. 1, record 1, English, - double%2Dbed%20knitting%20machine

2, record 1, French, - machine%20%C3%A0%20tricoter%20%C3%A0%20double%20fonture

Two main types of sample splitter are in common use, known as calibrated lead devices, and dividing valves. Most of these are based upon the principle that the head of the capillary column constitutes only a small proportion of the total outlet from the sample injection block. As the carrier gas enters the block it carries a small amount of the sample into the capillary column while the remainder is vented away through a larger opening. This can be done by having the capillary column held at the axis of a circular hole in the injection block, or by having it forming a narrow arm of a T-or Y-piece at the column head. In either case the amount going into the capillary column can often be further regulated by means of a tapered needle control. 1, record 2, English, - sample%20splitter

The turn coordinator is really two instruments. The gyro portion shows the aircraft’s rate of turn--how fast it’s changing direction. A ball in a tube called the "inclinometer" or "slip/skid indicator" shows the quality of the turn--whether the turn is "coordinated." 5, record 3, English, - turn%20coordinator
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS

3, record 3, French, - coordonnateur%20de%20virage

Turn and slip indicator. The instrument is composed of two components. The turn needle is an electrically driven gyroscope which indicates the rate of turn. The marks (often called the doghouse) on either side of center represents a bank angle of 15 degrees. ... The glass level containing the black ball is called the inclinometer. It provides the pilot with a measure of the turn quality. During both straight and level flight and during turns the ball should stay centered. The turn and slip indicator acts as a partial backup to the attitude indicator in that it shows rate of turn. 8, record 5, English, - turn%2Dand%2Dslip%20indicator

Battenberg lace, a revitalized form of the tape laces of the late 16th century gained popularity in the latter part of the 19th century and has been the mainstay of lacemaking ever since. The name is particularly American and has come to encompass every type of lace where the overall design is made from pre-fabricated tape. The essential element of the technique is the pre-made tape which outlines and follows the main lines of the design. The voids left are then filled with any variety of needle lace stitches using only a needle and thread. 3, record 6, English, - Battenberg%20lace
