This workshop will review basic notions of remote sensing and its applications in environmental studies. Examples of projects and applied studies in environment will be introduced. Practical aspects of remote sensing such as image costs, choosing the most appropriate type of image and how to buy images will be covered. Participants will perform an exercise enabling them to have a better understanding of the main steps related to an environmental study using satellite images. Technical specifications of RADARSAT images will be discussed as well as potential applications of these types of images for environmental studies. The intent of the reference code is to provide a simple method for interrelating the numerous specifications concerning the characteristics of aerodromes so as to provide a series of aerodrome facilities that are suitable for the aeroplanes that are intended to operate at the aerodrome. The code is composed of two elements which are related to the aeroplane performance characteristics and dimensions.
