DNA barcodes are widely used for large-scale species discovery, species identification, and integrative taxonomy... as Sanger sequencing was still the main method for sequencing, the cost of barcodes remained so high that the full potential of the technique could not be realized. Buffer Blasting. Buffer blasting is possibly the most simple method of control blasting and involves a modification to the last row of the main blast pattern. Modifications are limited to reduced burden, spacing, and explosive loads. The aim is to limit ground shock from the blast. The method is usually employed in conjunction with some other control blasting technique, such as pre-splitting, and its results are quite economical. Buffer blasting can only be used by itself when the ground is fairly competent. It may produce minor crest fracturing or backbreak but the amount of damage is less than would be produced by the main production blast if no control blasting was used at all. 2, record 3, English, - buffer%20blasting

Tree climbing consists of ascending and moving around in the canopy of trees. Tree climbing is safe when done with the proper training and equipment. Use of a rope, helmet, and harness are the minimum requirements to ensure the safety of the climber. Other equipment can also be used depending on the experience and skill of the tree climber. Some tree climbers take special hammocks called "Treeboats" with them into the tree canopies where they can enjoy a picnic or nap, or spend the night. Tree climbing is an "on rope" activity that employs a mixture of techniques and gear derived from rock climbers, cave explorers, loggers and professional arborists. Modern tree climbing techniques are a derivative of these other activities.... The main techniques used are free climbing, self-belayed climbing with a doubled rope system, Single Rope Technique, lead climbing, and spiking up with climbing gaffs. 2, record 9, English, - tree%20climbing

The basic purpose of continuity editing is to arrange shots together so they tell a story in a clear and easily understandable way. 3, record 14, French, - avalement

Two main routes are used for bonding the sand moulds : the "green sand" consists of mixtures of sand, clay and moisture; the "dry sand" consists of sand and synthetic binders cured thermally or chemically. The sand cores used for forming the inside shape of hollow parts of the casting are made using dry sand components. This versatile technique is generally used for high-volume production. Normally, such moulds are filled by pouring the melted metal in the filling system. The ROCSAT3/COSMIC(Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere and Climate) mission consists of a constellation of 6 low-earth orbiting satellites. Battenberg lace, a revitalized form of the tape laces of the late 16th century gained popularity in the latter part of the 19th century and has been the mainstay of lacemaking ever since. The name is particularly American and has come to encompass every type of lace where the overall design is made from pre-fabricated tape. The essential element of the technique is the pre-made tape which outlines and follows the main lines of the design. The voids left are then filled with any variety of needle lace stitches using only a needle and thread. 3, record 28, English, - Battenberg%20lace

Surfacing is a term used to describe processes of depositing metal on surfaces of tools and machine parts in order to increase their dimensional sizes or to obtain some specific mechanical property.... The two main categories of surfacing are known as hardfacing and metallizing. Hardfacing is a fusion technique and includes processes which are designed to produce hard, tough overlays to resist severe abrasion, corrosion, and impact loads. Metallizing is a spray coating procedure where finely divided particles of metal are deposited on surfaces where metal has worn away or where it is necessary to build up certain contours. Hardfacing is actually a fusion weld process in which a special hardfacing rod, wire, or electrode is intermixed with the base metal. 1, record 29, English, - hardfacing
