Buffer Blasting. Buffer blasting is possibly the most simple method of control blasting and involves a modification to the last row of the main blast pattern. Modifications are limited to reduced burden, spacing, and explosive loads. The aim is to limit ground shock from the blast. The method is usually employed in conjunction with some other control blasting technique, such as pre-splitting, and its results are quite economical. Buffer blasting can only be used by itself when the ground is fairly competent. It may produce minor crest fracturing or backbreak but the amount of damage is less than would be produced by the main production blast if no control blasting was used at all.

Tree climbing consists of ascending and moving around in the canopy of trees. Tree climbing is safe when done with the proper training and equipment. The ROCSAT3/COSMIC(Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere and Climate) mission consists of a constellation of 6 low-earth orbiting satellites. In conducting the atmospheric limb sounding using the GPS radio occultation technique(which is the main objective of the mission), the satellite orbits are precisely determined at any given moment by GPS "high-low" satellite-to-satellite tracking. These precise orbit determination(POD) data contain useful information about the Earth's gravitational field and its time variations, for both geophysical and climate-related research.

Surfacing is a term used to describe processes of depositing metal on surfaces of tools and machine parts in order to increase their dimensional sizes or to obtain some specific mechanical property.... The two main categories of surfacing are known as hardfacing and metallizing. Hardfacing is a fusion technique and includes processes which are designed to produce hard, tough overlays to resist severe abrasion, corrosion, and impact loads. Metallizing is a spray coating procedure where finely divided particles of metal are deposited on surfaces where metal has worn away or where it is necessary to build up certain contours. Hardfacing is actually a fusion weld process in which a special hardfacing rod, wire, or electrode is intermixed with the base metal.
