It has a soft texture and is manufactured using different types of fibers to produce varying levels of harness and strength. [It] is commonly used for dunnage, anti-squeak applications, crating, filtration, padding, wipers, and a wide range of other applications. Yeast autolysates are concentrates of the soluble components of yeast cells and in Europe are predominantly produced by autolysis. That is to say, that the cell hydrolysis is performed without addition of other enzymes. Yeast autolysates are known under the name of "yeast extracts" and are mainly used in the fermentation industry as substrates and in the food industry as flavour improvers. In Europe, the major raw material for yeast extract is primary grown high protein yeast(strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae), which is grown on molasses based media. In the United Kingdom and in the United States, yeast extracts are also manufactured from debittered brewers yeasts(strains of saccharomyces cerevisiae or Saccharomyces uvarum). Other raw materials in use are yeasts such as Kluyveromyces fragilis(fermented on whey) or Candida utilis(grown on high carbohydrate waste-products of the timber industry or on ethanol). 3, record 4, English, - yeast%20extract

1, record 15, French, - objet%20participatif

Superconducting magnets are manufactured by winding turns of superconducting material, in the form of layers of conductor, insulator, and a support material, on a mandrel to form pancake coils that are stacked on one another to form a completed magnet winding. The superconducting material is typically formed into a flat band of material that has limited flexibility and low structural strength. To efficiently wind the flat superconductor and get the end leads located on the outside of the coils for electrical termination, the coils are often wound in pairs from the inside to the outside which requires a winding transition portion at the inside that connects to each coil in the pair. This forms what is called a "double pancake" assembly. 1, record 38, English, - winding%20transition

1, record 38, French, - transition%20du%20bobinage

Synthetic diamond. A man-made diamond, produced either by subjecting carbon-bearing material such as graphite to high temperature and pressure or by the chemical vapor deposition(CVD) method. The Swedish company Allmana Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget(ASEA) is believed to have achieved the first repeatable synthesis of diamond in 1953, but their results were not published at the time; General Electric Company(GE) announced a successful synthesis of diamonds in 1954, followed by De Beers in 1959. Colors range from black to dark green, light green, red, yellow, blue, and colorless(Type IIa diamonds). Millions of carats of industrial-quality synthetic diamond are now manufactured annually using high pressure techniques; gem quality synthetic diamonds have been produced experimentally by De Beers Diamond Research Laboratories, General Electric Company... 3, record 46, English, - synthetic%20diamond

The electrical resistivity of concrete is a very important parameter concerning determination of intensity of the initiated corrosion process. In concrete material with high electrical resistivity the corrosion process will be slow compared to concrete with low resistivity in which the current can easily pass between anode and cathode areas. Two different techniques, namely AC and DC measurements are used for determination of electrical resistivity. In these measurements both surface and embedded probes are applied. The FORCE Institute has developed and manufactured different resistivity probes based on two and four-electrodes systems. 2, record 60, English, - resistivity%20probe

Wet-process fiberboards can be made in a range of densities. At one end is the low-density insulation board panel that requires some 15 % of a binder, usually starch, to reach a useful level of strength properties. In the middle are the medium-density fiberboards (around 0.7 relative density) that require about 8-10% resin ....At the high end of the density scale are the wet-process hardboards (strictly speaking, hard-pressed fiberboards) that use as little as 0.5 % of an added phenol-formaldehyde resin binder. 1, record 79, English, - hard%2Dpressed%20fiberboard
