DEF

An array of contiguous octets of memory on the RF [radio frequency] tag, representing the application (or user) memory to be used exclusively for the encoding of objects, OIDs [object identifiers] and their associated precursor on the RF tag.

CONT

The logical memory map shall represent the application memory space of the RF tag being interrogated. Its size shall be determined by the physical block size multiplied by the number of blocks. This shall be determined through the initial interrogation of the RF tag. The memory is represented as contiguous octets where the first octet is octet 0, the next is octet 1 and so on to the last octet as octet n. The value(n+1) shall represent the data capacity, in octets, of the RF tag being interrogated. Object identifiers and data are written to the logical memory map from the least significant octet to the most significant octet.

Record 6 2004-08-18

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Memories
CONT

An enhanced expanded memory specification endorsed by AST-Quadram-Ashton Tate. This specification extended the EMS 3. 2 standard by allowing more than 64K of memory to be accessed at a time, by allowing expanded memory to be mapped into the conventional memory area, and by supporting a single real alternate map.

CONT

Enhanced Expanded Memory Specification, the improved expanded memory scheme introduced by AST and several other companies to outperform the Lotus Intel Microsoft EMS Version 3.2 specification. The EEMS innovations became part of the LIM EMS 4.0 standard.

CONT

Magnetic bubble memory testers are used to examine bubble memory systems. Testers vary from unit to unit and in their ability to test memory devices of various capacities. Units can accommodate different memory architectures including serial, major/minor loop, block replicate, and even/odd configurations. They may offer capabilities for diagnostics testing(which isolates and defines design problems), device evaluation testing, and parallel functional testing. A computer may provide the central control and data collection functions for the magnetic bubble memory tester. The purpose of the loop status memory is to maintain a bit map of defective minor loops as they occur so that bubbles will be written into bad loops in later operations. This technique of maintaining minor loop status reduces test times.
