Alzheimer disease(AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder marked by cognitive and behavioral impairment that significantly interferes with social and occupational functioning. It is an incurable disease with a long preclinical period and progressive course. In AD, plaques develop in the hippocampus, a structure deep in the brain that helps to encode memories, and in other areas of the cerebral cortex that are involved in thinking and making decisions. 2, record 1, English, - Alzheimer%20disease

4, record 1, French, - maladie%20d%27Alzheimer

Field investigations of snow conditions remain an important task in collecting measurements of snow cover information. In a field study, snow surveys are conducted at regular intervals at designated stations throughout the winter to determine snow depth and vertically-integrated density so that the snow water equivalent(SWE) can be calculated for use in predicting spring runoff volumes. Desmoid tumors often appear as infiltrative, usually well-differentiated, firm overgrowths of fibrous tissue, and they are locally aggressive. The synonym "aggressive fibromatosis" describes the marked cellularity and aggressive local behaviour. This course and the tendency for recurrence make the treatment of these relatively rare fibrous tumors challenging.... Although desmoid tumors most commonly arise from the rectus abdominis muscle in postpartum women and in scars due to abdominal surgery, they may arise in any skeletal muscle. The tumors tend to infiltrate adjacent muscle bundles, frequently entrapping them and causing their degeneration. 1, record 9, English, - desmoid%20tumor

In practice, it is sensible to work with a spectrometer resolution which is high enough to avoid markedly non-linear calibration curves. This, of course, will increase the required spectrometer scan time, for a given signal/noise ratio in the spectrum, and a compromise may be necessary. The problem will not arise to a marked degree in the case of measurements on liquid samples, although peaks from some types of vibrational modes, e. g. the out of plane deformation modes of the hydrogen atoms attached to aromatic rings, give sharp and analytically useful peaks which are narrow enough to give these non-linear calibration curves. 1, record 11, English, - non%2Dlinear%20calibration%20curve
